My Master Plan for 2017: Consulting, Blogging, Books and Brunch (always Brunch)

1/10/2017

2016 was a good year. It was a year full of deep laughter, great love, tough challenges, hard work and huge milestones. Just to recap, as a single 26 years old female, I managed to:
  1. Buy my very first home.
  2. Published my very first e-book on blogging (Click here to buy Blog Like A Boss by Stasia Rose for $.99 in the Amazon Kindle store)
  3. I travel well over 3,000 air miles visiting framily (a classy combination of the words “friends” and “family” - you should definitely add it to your personal dictionary) located all over the U.S.
  4. Became a Consultant with We Are Curio (A design thinking, problem solving studio that helps individuals and organizations innovate, solve problems and expand what’s possible).
  5. Established a tribe of supportive and FUN friends and family in good 'ol Lakeland Florida (a great feat, believe you me)!  <3

For me, 2016 was also a year of monumental personal and spiritual growth. I learned a lot. I mean, a lot. Very tough lessons that I never imagined could so soon have led to such lasting peace, joy and happiness!

I am stepping into 2017 refreshed and on a mission.

For me, 2017 is the year where I resolve to do the things that I have always dreamt of doing – no matter how crazy the dream may seem. No matter how petrified I may feel. Regardless of what others may think of my dreams or ideas - I have resolved to make this the year that I prayerfully and faithfully move them forward! Including, but not limited to:
  1. Blogging more consistently. My schedule has been particularly wild in the last season of life, but with role models like my blogger/business owner/ fellow tall-girl friend Kirstin Czernek, I know it’s possible to maintain a consistent blogging schedule during busy seasons of life! The truth of the matter is, blogging brings me joy. It makes me happy, which leads me to my second goal...
  2. Doing more things that make me happy. I love reading. I love writing. I love traveling. I love movies. I LOVE BRUNCH. So I am going to do more of those things…including the brunch. Especially the brunch!
  3. Spending more time surrounded by encouraging women and mentors. The empowering conversations that I have with my close girlfriends over brunch, coffee or shopping are moments that, more often than not, turn out to be some of the most transformative and beautiful memories. Finding creative ways to create this same empowering environment for other women in my city is something I am resolving to do in 2017!
  4. Writing another book. I’m particularly excited (or anxious) about this one ;)
  5. Launching a local and virtual Blog Like A Boss course for newbie bloggers. I can’t accurately convey via written word just how happy I am when I can guide newbie bloggers through the blog creation and launch process. I have stumbled upon a niche that I LOVE, and I want to continue helping others brand themselves and launch successful blogs of their own! If you’re interested in hiring me for blog consulting, please let me know! I'm thinking if at least 4 to 5 people reach out to me I can create a solid group! Or if you want 1:1 consulting, let me know!
  6. Read. Read. Read. Read. I am excited to read more books this year than I have ever read in a year. I think that number is somewhere between 10 and 12, so I’m shooting for it! I’ll add a tab on my blog that tracks which books I have read and will read next! Feel free to check them out or even read along (currently, I'm reading ZAG byMarty Neumeier!
  7. Continue building my freelance portfolio. Between Design Thinking Consulting with We Are Curio, offering Personal/Professional Coaching, Blog Consulting, Freelance Writing and other various Consulting for Young Professionals – I want 2017 to be my most productive year yet!

That’s pretty much the whole of it. I'm sure I will continue add to this list over-time, but for now I'm super happy with it!

Great things are in store for Stasia Rose in 2017! And I am confident that great things are also in store for you! I am immensely honored to have each of you in my corner, and want to do my best to support you and your goals in 2017 as well!

My goals for this year are to 1. Follow through with my goals and achieve without giving up or to allow myself to be lazy. 2. I want to lose weight, and tone up and lift heavy. Lifting 100lbs is what I have in mind for short term seeing as I'm just starting out 3. (If not of most importance)I work on a production team at my church, but I have decided to step into Freelance Realestate Photogrpahy for a company. I had to buy a new lens and a few equipment things- my goal is to follow through with this. I have been praying that I find something to grow in other than what i am doing in production. I love photogrpahy and I'm hoping this thing takes off!... if you have any advice I'd love to hear it.
4. If freelance doesn't work out (and soon) I have to find another source of income - so my goal would to find another job as soon as possible in order to have that second income, and save up my money. Right now im just kind of making ends meet. To be better with my money is one thing but the goal is to be smart with my money, and to not let myself think I can not obtain a full-time position that pays more than what I am currently making part-time ...(which is why I decided to step into freelance)

Ashley! Thank you for sharing your goals and aspirations for 2017! It was so good seeing your name pop-up in the comment box I hope you are doing well! How are you doing for your goals? I need to work on working out and lifting and could definitely use an accountability buddy! How is the production team going? Also, I have a friend who is a realtor and if you ever need any tips/pointers I am sure she would love to give them to you! Her name is Paige Wagner and she is phenomenal!

My best advice, though I am not a photographer, I would love to offer one piece of advice - do not stop taking pictures. Obsess about it. Find people to model for you and do it for free if you have too until you build a solid portfolio and people start asking for your services! Are you local?

I am a fan of finding as many streams of income as you can, and keeping them as close to your passions as you can. Sometimes, for sake of finances, that isn't doable - but if it is doable then definitely do it ;) Have you ever heard of Fiverr? If not, check it out! It may be another stream of income for you based on what digital services you are able to offer! I want to hear more about how you are doing! Shoot me an email when you have a minute stasiaroseblog@gmail.com! <3

I am BLESSED to have you as a role model and inspiration to me every single day, bestie! I LOVE YOU!

My goals for 2017:
1. GRADUATE with my Thesis Masters! This is definitely the biggests and toughest one, but I really hope I can do it justice.
2. Be more grateful...because I have a great life. After a few challenges in 2016, I feel like I have not appreciated that enough.
3. Spend as much time with friends and family as humanly possible...because 2017 might include a big move, depending on where Matthew lands a job! We don't know yet.
4. Related to 3: be open to big shifts and changes...embrace adventure
5. Never forget my home and where I came from, because no matter where I go in the short term, I'll always be planning to come back to New England.

BFF! I love and miss you! You are such a boss and I cannot wait for all the good and perfect things that lie ahead for you. You are also the hardest worker I know, and I am excited for all the success and adventure that 2017 will bring you and Mateo! <3

I believe, deep down in my bones, that home will always be sacred. No matter where I go, and who I meet, my heart and mind always lead me back to the place that raised me. The streets I walked with the friends I made, and the memories that will always be with me. I am so thankful that I met you when I did in life, and that we are still close! I love you very much Tay! <3
